PayPOS Solution

As part of CityPay's  portfolio of products , we are please to offer the  PayPos solution . PayPos aim is to alleviate the complexity of acquirer and card scheme accreditation, whilst offering a dynamic and flexible platform for customer present (and customer not present) transactions.

Out of the box, PayPos provides a modular integrated solution to the retail point of sale industry which is pre-accredited with EMV, major card issuers and select Acquirers. The design of PayPos is aimed at providing a complete solution to face to face transactions alleviating the point of sale service from complex integration requirements.

PayPos offers

  1. A pure IP based solution with high grade TLS ciphers.
PayPos communicates across the cloud for both authorisation and storage. This means that your transactions are immediately stored in a PCI level 1 compliant network at the point of transaction completion. Being IP based PayPos only requires access to TLS TCP ports such as port 443.
  2. Provide a retail point of sale software as a service (SAAS) solution.
PayPos is designed to remove the requirements for software maintenance and updates by being a cloud based service. It's operation is performed by a small application installed on each machine. This application then synchronises with the remote configuration server to maintain configurations such as bin ranges and cryptographic keys as well as software updates.
  3. Integrate multi lane terminals
PayPos is a client framework which sits between the point of sale software and the terminal. As all configuration is remote, multiple installations can easily be managed.
  4. Centralise settlement to the CityPay settlement management service.
Once a transaction has been authorised and confirmed by the terminal, it will then be stored to a cloud based storage server. Transactions are then grouped according to account configurations and automatically batched and settled by the CityPay settlement engine.
  5. Outsource terminal maintenance (certificates etc) to CityPay
As the cloud service is centralised, all configurations are managed remotely alleviating any necessary configurations per terminal. PayPos is also a provisioned service that is managed by a skilled technician
  6. Centralise reporting of transaction data
As soon as transactions are stored within the storage gateway, it is made accessible in our live reporting service. Access can be provided to multiple team members or automatically synchronised with your infrastructure.
  7. Manage receipt printing including itemisation and customisation
PayPos allows for receipt printing to be tailored with full itemisation of goods purchased. This allows your point of sale to forward a list of data items to the PayPos system at the point of payment.
  8. Secure payment data through high grade cryptography
We only use OpenSSL configured with high grade ciphers in our data network using industry standard hardening techniques.
  9. Streamline PCI-DSS compliance through a SAAS solution
As your POS system does not handle card data, your point of sale software's exposure to risk is minimised. Although, as a merchant, you will still be required to be PCI compliant, the use of a compliant software as a service solution solution eases the process of compliance.
  10. PayPos teamed with Ingenico
PayPos is accredited within the UK and Ireland with the Ingenico Telium terminals such as the iPP350.
  11. EMV, Apacs and ISO payment engine
Under the hood, PayPos is compliant with industry standard payment industry specifications. EMV is governed by the Ingenico Telium service which is maintained on both EMV level 1 and EMV level 2.
